Welcome to Oak Park Temple on the Web
Oak Park Temple B'nai Abraham Zion is one of the oldest Reform congregations
in the Chicago area, dating back to the 1919 merger of the Zion Congregation
(founded in 1864) and the B'nai Abraham Congregation (founded 1871). Originally
known as Washington Boulevard Temple and located on Chicago's West Side,
the congregation dedicated its current home at 1235 North Harlem Avenue
in 1957 and has since been known as Oak Park Temple B'nai Abraham Zion.
